Description

WPH -- a Quaker center supporting peace, equity and justice through radical hospitality and innovative social justice education -- seeks a dynamic, team- and community-oriented volunteer to join our small residential community and serve approximately 20 hours per week in our hospitality program. Volunteer tasks include, but are not limited to, taking individual and group reservations, preparing rooms, serving a simple breakfast, and welcoming guests. As a full member of our residential community, volunteers are welcome to participate education programs and WPH-hosted community events, as time and interest allow.


This position is designed to allow ample time for other pursuits, such as graduate studies, research, part-time work or internship. We welcome applicants of any religious or secular tradition, however successful applicants should be grounded in a faith or philosophical worldview that is compatible with and respectful of the teachings of the Religious Society of Friends on which our work for peace, justice, environmental sustainability, and social equality is based.
