Sweet Tea Cancer Connections (STCC) is diligently and passionately developing the world’s first, nonprofit, nationwide app – called Community Heals – (CoHeals), to connect parents and caregivers who are impacted by pediatric cancer.  By increasing hope and knowledge and easing the loneliness and isolation that too often impacts these families, we aim to build more resilient families and more resilient children.

Position: Graphic Designer and Social Media

This is an unpaid (but, priceless), remote, volunteer position with flexible hours for an individual. Although our nonprofit is in Seattle, this is not a requirement for the position. Benefits include:

  • A rewarding experience by helping vulnerable pediatric children and their families
  • Working with a committed, passionate team, (we love us, and so will you!)
  • Gain hands-on nonprofit experience, (a great resume builder opportunity)

Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

STCC is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to fill the position of our Social Media Guru for our mobile app which is being developed to connect parents whose children are impacted by pediatric cancer. We are looking for someone to manage our nonprofits social networks and help build enthusiasm and drive traffic to our website for our app which will be launched in Q4, 2019. Specifically, this person will conceptualize and create visually appealing media splashes for scheduling and dissemination. We currently use Canva as our graphic program and HootSuite as the user interface platform which uses a dashboard to support social network integrations for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Skills:

·      Strong social skills.

·      Ability to communicate thoughtfully, expertly, and engagingly across platforms

·      A track record for developing insightful, interesting content

·      The drive to see projects through from planning and concept development to execution and analysis

·      Proficiency crafting creative, inspiring, stories that communicate complex concepts simply

·      Understanding of the marketing, media, and digital advertising landscape
