Description

Gould Farm offers an opportunity for volunteers from around the world to participate in the life of this special community through a full-time, extended term of service in residence at the farm.

The energy, vitality, and commitment of our volunteers provide an invaluable contribution to our mission. Volunteers are immersed in the Gould Farm community working in the garden, forest, farm, kitchen, bakery, café, guest residences and in our transitional program in the Boston area.

Mature and caring individuals interested in living in a therapeutic community are encouraged to apply. Because Gould Farm values the strength of its community, we ask that volunteers commit to a year’s service. We provide our year long volunteers with room and board, health insurance, and a monthly living stipend. A few short term internships are available throughout the year on a limited basis.

Kitchen team

The Gould Farm kitchen prepares and produces the daily meals that bring people together and help encourage community values. As a member of the kitchen team, volunteers prepare nourishing meals that reflect these values while also assisting residents in a service role. The kitchen feeds approximately 60 to 80 people, three meals per day. General responsibilities include preparation and delivery of nutrition meals, maintenance of a clean and safe work environment, and coaching guests working on the kitchen team.
