The Partnership for Gender Equity (PGE) is up to big things; accelerating change for women, families and youth in coffee communities around the world. We are looking for a creative story-teller and social media coordinator to work with us to elevate the stories of the coffee farming women, youth and their families and connect them with audiences who care.

Overview:

Over the past five years, PGE’s work has directly touched the lives of nearly 500 male and female farmers in eight countries through our innovative capacity building programs. As a result, we have an enormous library of videos, testimonials and other photographic assets from in Myanmar, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Colombia and more.  We have developed a variety of tools and resources to help inform and activate industry influencers to take action to address gender equity and generational engagement in the coffee supply chain.  Yet, too many people are still unaware of the issues, and our work. Powerful stories can help – so can you!

Who we are:

PGE works to ensure a prosperous future with fair and equitable opportunities for every member of the coffee farming family - women, men and children.  Since our founding in 2014, PGE has conducted research, developed tools, and activated coffee companies to build transformative impact in the sector to address gender equity collaboratively for a global, transformative impact.  In 2015, PGE published its first research to identify the impact of gender inequities on the coffee value chain and determine how the sector could respond collectively. The Way Forward: Accelerating Gender Equity in the Coffee Value Chainhas become a key resource for industry actors and is the foundation for PGE’s work and collaborative engagement to tackle the issue of gender in a variety of contexts.

Your role:

Work with our library of photo and video assets to develop engaging stories and content to share with a diverse array of potential supporters through a variety of media.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing organization with a global vision - to get involved on the ground level and be a part of growing our success.
