Description

Our Direct Patient Care volunteers provide non-medical support to the hospice team. These volunteers offer a friendly smile and a comforting presence to our patients. They can provide caregiver relief, assist with errands, light housekeeping, or light meal preparation- based on patient and family needs. All of these kind gestures will mean a lot to our hospice patients and their loved ones. Volunteers are usually assigned at least two patients and visit weekly or biweekly, either in the patient's home or at the facility they reside. 

Background check, drug screening, TB testing, and CPR certification are all required, however costs are covered by our company. The on-boarding process takes about two weeks from interview to the assignment of a volunteer's first patient. Ongoing training and support is provided! Must be 18 years or older to apply.
