Description

San Francisco is famous for its opportunities in STEM, but not enough of our city's public school students are graduating ready to access these opportunities. Succeeding in math can often be the key that opens the door to a love of STEM.

By volunteering as a math tutor in a San Francisco public school, you can help students gain confidence and develop a love of math. You get a chance to give back to your community and help young people see the many opportunities this city holds.

The San Francisco Education Fund's Signature Math Program happens for one hour once a week. You will work directly with a 6th or 7th grade student, sharing your love of math.

We know that volunteers have busy schedules, whether they are working, raising families, or retired. All it takes is just one hour a week during the school day or after school to make a difference.

No previous experience is required, only a desire to help students reach their full potential. Click on this link to find out more: sfedfund.org/volunteer.
