Description

This project is open to volunteers who have sensibility and open-mindedness to learn about the situation and the realities of indigenous communities, the rural life conditions and who are respectful of the indigenous culture and wisdom.

International volunteers will work closely with the local community, students and indigenous children from Zacapoaxtla, Puebla. Volunteers will develop various workshops and activities. The goal of this project is to share culture with indigenous children and youngsters, to give them life skills and tools for achieving better quality of life, to promote respect, mutual learning and growth.Volunteers, together with university students of Puebla, will organize workshops of crafts, recycling, ornamental and botanical gardening, dance, painting, elaboration of international dishes. You will also help in the construction of gardens, help in cleaning activities and maintenance of the houses of the indigenous children and put in practice cultural exchange through dance and language workshops.

This project is the perfect opportunity to learn Spanish and some indigenous languages!
