Description

Just imagine spending your spring break contributing to a meaningful project, meeting people from across the globe and exploring a new country! Volunteering on your alternative spring break abroad is an affordable option and means you will be traveling with purpose. You’ll probably be having many discussions with your friends about how to spend your break and what you want to get out of the experience. If you are looking for spring break alternatives that are meaningful, fun, and can be included in your resume - all without having to spend a fortune, then spring break volunteer opportunities with Education volunteers Ghana (EDUVOLGH) is what you need. Get an authentical cultural experience while making a real impact within the local community we are working within. In addition to Teaching and Childcare projects, for the animal lovers, there is an Animal Care/Animal Rights project where you can work with abandoned dogs, cats, and other domestic animals. For pre-medical students, there is a Medical Placement available where you are able to gain a first-hand insight into the operations of a foreign medical system, while shadowing fully-qualified local medical practitioners. Imagine yourself in the beautiful "Kente" clothe and performing a Ghanaian cultural dance. We give an experience you never find anywhere! On your free day, you will visit amazing and historical sites in Ghana. You can visit the popular monkey sanctuary, take a walk on a canopy, see the biggest tree in west Africa, visit beautiful water falls, see the Paga crocodile river (where you can ride on a crocodile back), the Cape coast castle, ride on the biggest man-made lake in the world (Lake Volta), visit the community which is built on a water (NZULEZU), beautiful beaches, the mole park (the home of hippos, elephants, lions, among other wild animals). Our spring break programs are designed just for you to fulfill your volunteer abroad goals. Our well-trained, dedicated, and professional staff will work side-by-side with you and provide the needed assistance throughout your stay. Our host family home offers decent accommodation (neatly fitted rooms) with serene environs, local and continental dishes prepared under strict hygienic conditions, scheduled transportation service, 24/7 security and 4G internet access. “Welcome to the gateway to Africa”
