Description

Communities In Schools of NOVA seeks volunteers to join our team to help address food insecurity in Arlington!

Volunteers are needed to help staff our weekly food distribution at the Arlington Career Center in partnership with the Arlington Food Assistance Center. Volunteers will help set up, run and take down our food distribution program between 11am-3:30pm on Wednesday afternoons at the school. Volunteers can work in shifts or for the entire food distribution session.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for anyone seeking to address a critical need in our schools, meet other civic-minded volunteers and become a part of a dynamic school community this year!

CIS NOVA partners with Arlington Public Schools and Alexandria City Public Schools to deliver needed services and programs to the students at Barcroft Elementary School, Francis Hammond Middle School, Gunston Middle School, Arlington Community High School, and Wakefield High School.
