CASA of San Mateo County supports and trains long-term volunteers to help foster children and probation youth. As a CASA Volunteer, you will have a tremendous impact on the life of a child.

The mission of CASA is to ensure that all abused and neglected children have a consistent and caring adult who speaks on their behalf and helps them reach their full potential.

After the orientation, you would complete an application package and screening interview before beginning training. Training is thirty hours over a five week period. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.

Thank you for your interest in our program! The first step to becoming an Advocate is to attend an hour-long orientation. Below are the orientations for our Fall 2018 Training beginning on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

All sessions are in the evening 6:00 to 7:00 pm unless otherwise stated. All orientations are held at our offices at 330 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, in the Bay Room.

 

After the orientation, you would complete an application package and screening interview before beginning training. Training is thirty hours over a five week period, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 – 9 PM. You must attend each training session as well as observe one afternoon in Court. Training is also held in our offices. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
