Are you looking for regular volunteer opportunities on weekdays or weekends? Are you wanting to make a big impact on the lives of local Chicagoland children and have fun while impacting thousands? Cradles to Crayons is the place for you!
Join our Community "Champion Corps" of regular volunteers! These volunteers are vital in making sure donations are organized and sorted.
There is no time commitment! We will work with your schedule. Ideally, we are looking for volunteers who can commit to a few hours a week.
If you are interested in becoming a Community Champion, please email Amy Meade at email@example.com
Cradles to Crayons (C2C) was founded in 2002, with the mission of providing children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play.
How It Works
Cradles to Crayons collects new and nearly new children's items through grassroots community drives and corporate donations. Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers, and are distributed to disadvantaged children across the state through a collaborative network of social service agencies and school partners. C2C supplies these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.
In 2017, over 7,000 families, individuals, community groups, and companies served over 30,000 children in Chicagoland to sort, clean, and assemble donations for “KidPacks” to be delivered to children and families in need. Through these meaningful, hands on volunteer opportunities, we aspire to set a foundation for lasting change.
