Description

Working towards empowering women is challenging and rewarding at the same time, Go Volunteer Africa has a number of such projects in Rwanda for those interested. As a women’s mentor, you get to share with mostly single mothers, widowed and young/ teenage mothers that are working hard to make ends meet.

These women form groups depending on specialization of skills or location and help out each other in a number of ways ranging from health, income generating activities, access to resources among other challenges they could be facing.

Dedicating your time, energy, and skills as a Women Empowerment Volunteer in Rwanda is a great way to spend your gap year, career break, or extended vacation. You will be in position to share ideas with them, help them develop a savings club, teach them new skills, carryout more research in their areas of interest and advise them on how to do it better but most important of all, you may be chosen as a group ambassador.

We welcome you to join us in the struggle to uplift the rights and voice of women in Rwanda. Your efforts can make a difference especially in the lives of our women in marginalized communities. You will not only get to share their culture and language but you will have an unforgettable experience that might change your perception towards life.
