Description

Are you looking to get involved in environmental protection and social justice? Do you have a passion for writing and experience in editorial? Then we want to hear from you!

We currently have an opening in our team for an editorial volunteer to support RESET.org's English-language site.

RESET.org is an up-to-date and comprehensive information and action platform for environmental protection and social justice. RESET provides daily information about innovative solutions in the area of sustainable development and supports projects that use new technologies, or use existing technologies in new ways, to work towards a sustainable future. RESET.org has been recognised multiple times by UNESCO as a Decade Project as part of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.

What we offer:

As an editorial volunteer at RESET, you will get a detailed, up-to-date look at what’s happening in the area of sustainability worldwide. We are a small editorial team, meaning you will gain insight into all of our work areas including editorial work, social media, campaigns and public relations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of topic areas that are of particular interest to you, learn more about how to use CMS and social media tools, and hone your editorial skills while researching, writing and updating articles on RESET’s site.

What we are looking for:

You are an English native speaker with experience in journalism, writing and/or digital media. An interest in sustainability and humanitarian topics is highly important, as is the ability to express and explain complicated concepts in an accessible and engaging way. Our content is framed around “Digital for Good” and we focus on solutions and approaches that use information and communications technologies to make a positive difference. An affinity with this topic is preferred.

The placement will take place in our office in Berlin. Ideally, it would be great if you could commit 2 days a week to this role over a three-month period.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer monetary compensation, as the placement is offered on a voluntary basis. However, we do offer stimulating work, on-the-job training, a lot of creative freedom and a high level of responsibility. A supportive team atmosphere is guaranteed, as is an inspiring work space in our bright and breezy new office (complete with a great view), right on the banks of the Spree river.

Benefits

  • Training Provided
  • Language/Cultural Support Available
