Description

 Hawah V. Kamara Children’s Foundation is a 501 (c ) (3) community-based organization that provide education and health programs to impact the lives of underprivileged children in West Africa, Liberia. 


    We have a small team of five individuals based in the USA. We are looking for two qualified persons to help create advertisement content for our social media platforms. The position requires a flexible time commitment, and the work can be done virtually. Please note that this position requires at least 6 months to 1-year commitment. Required hours are 5-10 hours weekly or as many hours that the volunteer can commit. 


Responsibilities:

Part I: 25%

  • Create content for all social media pages (facebook, twitter, and Instagram) using facts and creativity
  • Perform day-to-day activities including creating graphic design flyers for promotional purposes that support our programs or work in Liberia


Part II: 40%

  • Respond to audiences on social media sites; increase followers from 359 to 1,000 or more
  • Grow the organization’s online audience/presence by reaching out to a broad audience base to like and follow our platforms; increase likes by 40%
  • Tag people in social media posts and urge social media friends to follow all of our social media pages
  • Increase use of our hash tags to grow our audienc base
  • Work with our social media manager Mr. Koua Her to review all images and posts


Part III: 10%

  • Perform google analytics to document number of visitors on social media pages monthly


Skills/ Knowledge Requirement:


  • Written and oral communication is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer is a plus ( ability to design graphics and upload photos)
  • Proficient in the use of computer to write social media posts to capture a broad audience base
  • Proficient in the use of social media to bring in donations
  • Ability to check social media sites 3x daily is a plus
  • Copywriting skills and visual intelligence 
  • Creating promotional videos as needed 
  • Use social media to raise donations
  • Ability to use all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc)
  • Proficiency in using design creation apps or softwares such as photoshop or others


Education Requirement:

High school graduate or student with interest in social media, writing, and creative design

College student would be a plus

The individual should be interested in the use social media for a great cause and to reach the masses
