Dear Prospective 2018 Meridian Winter Blast Volunteers,

The 2018 Meridian Winter Blast, presented by Quicken Loans, will again present a memorable festival with something for everyone and numerous community benefits.

Located once again at beautiful Campus Martius in Detroit, we plan to create another year of spectacular food, music and various winter activities! Thank you for sharing your valuable time, energy, and enthusiasm by spending part of your weekend with us. It is the passion and dedication of volunteers like you that make this event a success year after year!

The 2018 Volunteer Sign-up form link is available below. If you have any difficulty submitting the form please email us at info@artsbeatseats.com or call us at 248.541.7550.

Please review the dates and times below and let us know when you can volunteer. We would be grateful if you were able to do at least two shifts, but are thankful for what you can give. Each volunteer will receive a Meridian Winter Blast Hat as well as a Parking Pass.

See you soon,

Jon Witz, Event Producer

Position Descriptions:

Winter Slide: Volunteers will be assisting festival goers with knowing when they can go on the slide by signaling them. We will do this by having a few individuals standing at the top of the slide and a few at the bottom. The basic job is to make sure everyone is safe while going down the slide. This position will require you to be on your feet and outdoors for a period of time.

Information Booth: Volunteers will be positioned at information booths answering questions from festival goers. You will be provided with a map of all needed information. This is a great position for those that need to sit, and will also give you a chance to interact with those at the festival!

Volunteer Holding Area: We will need 2 people each shift to sit by the door of the elevator in order to let volunteers onto the second floor. This is a great position for those that need to sit.

Polar Plunge (Female Changing Tent): We will need 4 volunteers (2 per changing tent) to make sure correct people are entering tent where belongings are kept.

Polar Plunge (Male Changing Tent): We will need 4 volunteers (2 per changing tent) to make sure correct people are entering tent where belongings are kept.

Polar Plunge (Outside of Pool): We will need 3 volunteers outside of pool to assist with holding people’s belongings while they jump.
