Description

Mission: Big Apple Greeter’s mission is to enhance New York City’s worldwide image and enrich the New York experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers. Our goal is to promote New York City as friendly, inviting, and manageable; to bolster tourism and to foster economic development; and to create opportunities for New Yorkers to show pride in their city and give something back to the city.

Activities: Big Apple Greeter is looking for an experienced volunteer to perform a feasibility study to determine whether a walkathon is right for us. This person will work under the guidance of the Executive Director.

Qualifications: This person must have extensive experience with walkathon planning and management, especially in New York City. He/she must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others. Please submit resume.

Benefits: This could be a great opportunity for a person with walkathon management experience to use their skills to make a significant contribution to the organization. Retirees welcome.

Time Commitment: 1 to 3 days a week, or as needed, depending on availability. Some work may be done from home. Hours flexible.
