Rehabilitation Director in beautiful Belize!

Hillside Health Care International provides health care services to impoverished and under-served people in southern Belize. Hillside operates a primary care clinic, provides nursing home care and palliative services, as well as providing community outreach and education. Our clinic provides the only physical rehabilitation services in Belize's Toledo District. Staff, students, and volunteers travel out each day to care for people in remote villages throughout the Toledo district.

Medical, physician assistant, pharmacy, public health, and physical therapy students from the US, UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia spend 1 – 2 months in year-round rotations learning about global health and getting hands-on experience working side-by-side with volunteers. Hillside has been working in Belize for 20 years, we are a recognized resource by Belizean government ministries and communities, and we are making a difference!

Responsibilities of the RD at Hillside Clinic include direct patient care, supervision of the rehab tech and DPT students, collaboration with short-term PT volunteers, updating and maintaining the monthly rehab schedule, collaboration with representatives from the Ministries of Education and Health, collaboration with home visit staff on provision of services, obtaining supplies, student recruitment, coordination with the other members of the Hillside Management Team, and communication with stateside staff and volunteers.
