Men Creating Peace (MCP) seeks to transform society from a culture of domination and violence to one of collaboration and equality. For 10 years, MCP assisted teens and men, ages 16 and older, to restore peaceful connections with themselves, their intimate partners, their families and their communities. Through accountability, advocacy, development of healthy communication and active listening skills, we empower men to stop their violent and aggressive behaviors. Read more about our program here.

We are looking to bring on a new board member to elevate our work and contribute their unique expertise:

  • Community Outreach: this member will work with our Vice President, Alana, to create and implement our community outreach strategy. You would develop creative and sustainable ways to find new participants for the program. We prefer someone with community outreach experience and a deep network in the social services sector in East Bay. We would consider someone who is creative, excited about sharing our work with the community and willing to be trained for the role.

If you are interested in any of these positions or have questions, please feel free to reach out to us. To apply for a position or ask questions, email our President, Emma, at - make sure to send her an updated resume or linkedin profile.

Thank you so much for your consideration.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a virtual position - the board meets monthly in Oakland, CA.
