Volunteers are an essential part of the festival and each year it takes more than 100 volunteers to make the event a community success. Please carefully review the list of possible job descriptions listed below. Volunteers will receive a food voucher and a festival volunteer t-shirt.


Please specify which day and shifts you would like to work, if you are taking on more than two shifts we will provide you with breaks in-between shifts.

Pre-Festival Set-Up

Friday, September 21, 2018

3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Event Date

Saturday, September 22, 2018

Set-Up - 7:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Job Shift 1 (see Jobs below) - 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Job Shift 2 (see Jobs below) - 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Post-Festival Breakdown - 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.


Parking Attendant - Control traffic flow, direct public toward parking areas around plaza. Must be 18 or older.

Floaters - Relieve volunteers for breaks. Must be flexible in time.

Activity Assistant - Assist with hands on arts and craft making activities with school-aged children. Tasks assigned by RA staff.

Survey Takers - Ask attendees to take brief survey. Should be outgoing and comfortable talking with people.

Concession - Assist with selling popcorn, hotdogs, & cotton candy.

Set-Up / (20) Breakdown - Set-up crew in the morning will help with decorating the plaza, setting up tables, chairs, table cloths. May be required to do heavy lifting.

Please Note:

Set-Up will take place as early as 7 a.m. and Breakdown will begin at 6 p.m.

No prior experience required. Training is provided on-site.

All ages are welcome. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents must complete a Volunteer Minor Application for each child participating.
