Description

Our volunteer experience is a direct outreach program that supports the HOPE Team downtown, which is a group of mental health professionals who make relationship and assess our neighbors experiencing homelessness on a daily basis. The goal is to find and assess these individuals so that they can be referred to services available in the area such as food, shelter, clothing, jobs, healthcare, and sometimes permanent supportive housing.

Our volunteers spend about 1.5 hours with outreach workers after a brief training, so you will have direct contact with people experiencing homelessness.

The next outreach program is set to take place Wednesday, August 29 from 6-8pm. Training and light food and beverage will be provided.
