Become part of the Texas Family Literacy AmeriCorps team and learn, develop and contribute by helping people in need to build essential literacy skills. Located in Austin, we offer a range of education-focused national service opportunities that are making a growing difference helping addressing peoples' literacy needs across our region.

All programs are based on research-validated curriculum and are operated with/through our network of 40+ community-based nonprofit partners. Members are matched with local nonprofits and trained to serve in one of the following areas:

1. Teach classes or tutor adults in English as a Second Language

2. Teach or tutor adults in Adult Basic Education, or GED classes.

3. Provide Workforce Literacy and training for adults seeking to improve their employment and careers.

4. Provide early childhood literacy interventions for low-income families.
