Professionals with fund development expertise. We need you! Can you help a U.S. national-scope peacebuilding organization secure its first cash resources pool?

Peace Through Action USA seeks a regular volunteer or volunteers to serve as our fund development adviser. The adviser will guide us through the development of our first fundraising plan. Also, the adviser will implement some of the plan’s components and coach the chief executive officer and board of directors on finance implementation.

Our ideal adviser will be a seasoned fundraising officer with expertise in both fundraising planning and execution and a desire and time availability to lend their knowledge and experience to a start-up organization with big ambitions, an unfolding mission delivery plan, and immediate finance needs.

We seek an adviser or advisers who can give eight-to-ten hours week per week time (at days and hours of their choice) for up to four-to-six months.

Peace Through Action USA is missioned to increase peace between people and within communities in the United States of America by promoting caring action. We activate and equip Americans to implement practical peaceful solutions to aggression and violence in their communities and our country. We are a national-scope, charitable, social capital-building organization.

Peace Through Action USA is in programs start-up mode. Currently, we seek to demonstrate our Peace Agents program, which will supply compensated servant leaders-peace agents-to community organizations for locally-designed peace projects. We have four community peace projects readied for fundraising initiation.

Our current financial position does not yet permit us to hire a development director or team. So we are looking for development professionals, anywhere in the U.S. or abroad (provided they have U.S. fundraising experience), who can join us as a regular volunteer for a medium-term period to help us assemble our first pool of cash resources necessary to finance our mission delivery programs as well as our mission support.

This volunteer opportunity is well-suited for development professionals at the encore phase of their careers, consultants with available pro bono hours, or students of, graduates in, or practitioners of philanthropy looking for a first development experience or between jobs.

Join us at this beginning of what will be a long-term program to mobilize volunteers and national servant leaders for increasing peace between people in the U.S. at the places we live, learn, work, play, and pray!
