Providing care and activities for children with disabilities in Rabat
- Volunteer Opportunity posted by CADIP
Long-Term (6 months-1 year)
International volunteers will work in a center that supports children with trisomy. Their mission is to work for the dignity of persons with Down syndrome, for ensuring decent living conditions for them, to respect the uniqueness of each individual in the spirit of tolerance, openness and solidarity.
The volunteers will organize educational workshops (dance and corporal expression, fine arts, origami, paper recycling, gardening) and sports activities (physical conditioning, golf, horse riding, judo, football). The volunteers will also help with school activities and teaching assistance, as well as stimulation activities for the kids (otophone, kinesitheraphy)
Volunteers should be enthusiastic, positive, patient and respectful people, who are willing to support children with disabilities to learn new skills and develop new relationships in ways that they choose and at a pace they feel comfortable with.
Duration of the project: The volunteer placements are from 2 to 12 months.
