AIDS Walk San Francisco is Northern California’s largest event dedicated to raising money to provide crucial support to dozens of organizations dedicated to AIDS services, research and education in the Bay Area.
Volunteers are vital to AIDS Walk’s success. Volunteers make the event easy, well-organized and fun for its thousands of volunteers who last year raised $1.8 million through this one-day event!
Hundreds of volunteers are needed to support the event by checking in walkers, directing the flow of participant traffic, managing walker checkpoints along the route, distributing snacks and beverages and more!
The walk takes place in Golden Gate Park on Sunday morning, July 15. Start and finish times for volunteers vary depending on your volunteer position, but generally start at 7 a.m. and end between 12:30 and 2:30.
Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch and an AIDS Walk Volunteer T-Shirt as well as the satisfaction of knowing they have made a significant difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, but younger volunteers can volunteer if accompanied by an adult.
