VOLUNTEER WITH KIRABA CHILDREN FOUNDATION IN 2018

Kiraba children foundation is a fully registered Community based Organization with neither political nor religious affiliations.


Volunteering with Kiraba Children Foundation will give you an opportunity to explore the amazing Country of Uganda and give back to the disadvantaged communities. Kiraba children foundation is so far supporting 40children and looking forward to supporting more.

 

 Vision

The foundation is to create and attract avenues locally, nationally and internationally to bring about a positive change among the lives of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children of Uganda beginning with Kiraba Village as an Epicentre for promoting and protecting children’s Rights using spiritual, economic and psycho-social support.


Mission

To provide basic needs, fight poverty, ignorance, disease among Orphans and Vulnerable Children to become self-confident and grow up as God fearing citizens who can contribute to the economic and social development of the Ugandan.

Goal and Objectives


 Goal               

The goal of Kiraba Children Foundation is to organise, empower, sensitize and guide and groom the Orphans and Vulnerable Children to harness the contemporary social and economic opportunities and to development initiatives that leading to positive and healthy living to improve the well-being of the OVC at House hold, Community and National levels.


Objectives

The objectives of Kiraba Children Foundation are:

a)    Provide basic needs, fight illiteracy among children, encourage the education of a girl child, provide food, provide shelter, build self-confidence in children and mostly to build a strong relationship between children and God the Almighty.

b)    Provide psychological support to school children living with HIV/AIDS so they can continually remain alive through restoring hope into them.

c)    Support disadvantaged children from single mothers through education and counseling.

d)    Develop hand-craft ship skills among the children so they can grow up as Job Creators thus improving their future standards of living.

e)    Engage community based counselors to provide early and relevant life skills to deal with negative adolescent pressure and stigma where applicable that could lead the children getting early and unwanted pregnancies including contracting HIV/AIDS plus other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

f)     Build Children’s capacities in different skills of interest

g)    Diagnose and treat the sick  

h)    Preserve, develop and protect Children’s rights.

i)     Build an integrated self-sustaining and independent house hold income to ensure sustainable development;

j)     Advocating for the rights of the Children  

k)    Reduce juvenile delinquency and eventually crime in society through mobilization and sensitization of the children to avoid bad habits such as rape, prostitution, and drug abuse.
