Description

Volunteer Park Trust seeks avid gardeners to help us for a couple hours once a month in Seattle's Volunteer Park.

We host our 2nd Saturday Work Party each month from 10:00AM to Noon. Volunteers help weed, prune, remove litter & invasive plants, and mulch garden beds. No experience is needed. We provide the tools and gloves.

We meet at the Black Sun Sculpture in the center of Volunteer Park (1247 15th Ave E, Seattle 98112 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood) across from the Seattle Asian Art Museum. We welcome drop-ins! If you arrive late, look for our green sign board to tell you where in the park we are working.

This work is vital to keeping Volunteer Park beautiful because Seattle Parks & Recreation does not have the resources to properly maintain the park's 48 acres.

We are especially in need of volunteers during the fall and winter months:

  • Saturday, October 13, 10AM-12PM
  • Saturday, November 10, 10AM-12PM
  • Saturday, December 8, 10AM-12PM
  • Saturday, January 12, 10AM-12PM
  • Saturday, February 9, 10AM-12PM
  • Saturday, March 9, 10AM-12PM
