MMWD National Trails Day:

Saturday, June 1, 9 AM to 2 PM

Bring your enthusiasm and appetite for a day by the lake! MMWD is looking for volunteers to help with improvements to the Gertrude Ord Trail along the shady side of Phoenix Lake and to join with other volunteers for a FREE BBQ lunch afterward. Projects will include rebuilding a bridge and stairs, improving drainage, and vegetation maintenance.

Meet at the top of Phoenix Lake dam. The gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park will be open from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and from 2:00-2:30 p.m. so volunteers can park next to the dam (there is space for 25 vehicles). People who arrive late or need to leave early will need to find their own parking. MMWD will provide an assortment of breakfast snacks (fruit, donuts, and juice) and then a full BBQ lunch at 1:00 by the Log Cabin!

Arrive by 9am for breakfast snacks, sign-in, safety instructions and project assignments. All volunteers receive a free t-shirt.

Trail events are suitable for ages 13 and up. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All those under 18 must bring a signed MMWD permission form. Limit 30 volunteers.

Mandatory safety briefing begins at 9 A.M. sharp! Please register by emailing volunteerprogram@marinwater.org or calling 415-945-1182.

Please bring a water bottle, closed toe shoes and clothes for variable weather. Bring your lunch. We will provide tools, breakfast snacks and water!

Minors under the age of 16 must have a guardian present. Those ages 16-18 must have permission from a guardian.
