This position supports a teacher in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating classroom created to help high school students prepare for the math portion of the SAT exam. Your role would be critical in ensuring that students feel supported and are getting the best preparation possible. This is a volunteer position with TeenSHARP, our mission is to be an organization that gives low-income, black, and Latino youth access to premier leadership opportunities, trains them to be ambassadors of higher education and prepares them for success at selective colleges and universities.
Through this position you will be carrying out our mission b committing to bettering students' futures through increasing their accessibility to higher education. The students we work with are predominately low-income and/or students of color, they do not have access to tutoring services and preparation services for standardized tests like some of their more privileged peers, so the work you will be doing is extremely important. By giving these students the tools to success, you are making an imprint on their lives and ensuring a brighter future for them.
The commitment would be Mondays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM in Wilmington, Delaware, and would begin on October 13th.
