We have an opportunity for students and professionals to join HealingCorps, a volunteer team of crisis intervention professionals at The Center for Hope and Healing, Inc. in Lowell, Ma. The HealingCorps team is comprised of trained trauma-informed advocates who provide support and care to survivors of sexual assault and raise awareness about intersecting forms of oppression and violence. With the hands-on experience that volunteers gain through HealingCorps, individuals go on on to pursue roles as Residential Counselors, Policy Associates, Legal Assistants, Program Coordinators, and many more.


We currently have a great need for multilingual, multicultural individuals who have wide range of experience. Advocates receive 40 hours of initial training plus ongoing professional development and supervision. They can choose to work as Hotline Advocates, Medical/Legal Advocates, Outreach and Education Advocates, or in Nonprofit Administration. All volunteer positions are available for internship credit.

The next 40 hour trainings are:

Winter 2018

January 8th-February 8th | M+Th, 5:30pm - 8:30pm

No training on January 15th. Additional training dates: Tuesday, January 16th, 5:30pm-8:30pm and Saturday, January 20th, 9:30am-5:30pm

Spring 2018

March 12th-16th | Monday-Friday
