Description

The Municipality of Aloguinsan is situated about 73 kilometers southwest of Cebu City. Aloguinsan is a world renowned tourist destination, being one of the 2016 Top Sustainable Destinations in the world. Its top drawer is the Bojo River, where local guides tell you about the unique surrounding mangroves as you drift down the waterway. Bojo, Aloguinsan, Cebu is a fishing village on the midwest part of Cebu, on the shores of the Tanon Strait, the biggest marine protected area in the Philippines. The Bojo River is managed by the local community which runs the Bojo River Cruise and was awarded the 2015 UN Tourism INsPIRE Awards for Best Community-based Tourism Initiative in Asia-Pacific.Volunteer activities:

- Clean up drive on the spillway to the river and coastal area.

- Mangrove planting for mangrove rehabilitation.

- Organize basic English Training for the local guides of Bojo River.

- Exchange of culture through music, sports/games, food, language, etc.
