Pod Volunteer are looking for volunteers to work with incredible animals and help conserve amazing species such as sloths, jaguars, tapirs, turtles, horses and monkeys!
Volunteers are needed to care for the 175 native animals that live at the centre, including jaguars, tapirs and howler monkeys, enabling the centre to provide an optimum level of care and additional enrichment. The project also works with the local community to educate them on their native wildlife and why it is important to preserve their habitats.
Join our wildlife rescue team which helps to rescue, rehabilitate and release many of Costa Rica's incredible rainforest animals, including sloths, monkeys and anteaters! Volunteers assist the team in providing a high level of care at the sanctuary and monitoring those that will be released back into the wild.
Support the active conservation team to protect sea turtle populations, by protecting turtle eggs laid on the tropical beach, and releasing hatchlings. Volunteers' vital support enable night patrols to occur regularly, which has so far led to a 80% drop in the number of nests that have been poached in the area!
The team in South Africa need volunteers to provide care for primates that have been orphaned or mistreated and give them a safe and nurturing home. Volunteers have the opportunity to work with over 100 primates and learn more about primate behaviour from the knowledgeable and dedicated team!
Assist the team in South Africa to care and rehabilitate over 40 horses and help them trust people again. Volunteers help provide the care these horses need, and assist with the project's beach and bush trails - an opportunity to ride on a stunning Indian Ocean beach! Volunteers of all levels of experience are welcome and will be matched with specific horses accordingly.
Help the local team give dogs much needed care and attention in the beautiful coastal winelands outside of Cape Town. Volunteers support the project and local vets by working hands on with the dogs, caring for those which are injured and unwell and nursing them back to full health.
