Volunteer role In this role you will work alongside a small team in a dynamic and innovative international development and leadership organisation. You will gain exposure to all areas of the organisation, supporting our NGO partners in Uganda, India and Tanzania and our large corporate clients. For more information about Pepal see www.pepal.org

Time commitment:

  • 1 – 2 days a week
  • Minimum commitment 6 months
  • You will need to be able to work from home and will have your own computer.
  • Pepal is focused on results, over the amount of time you spend volunteering, therefore we are somewhat flexible with the time commitment. The time commitment and hours will be agreed after the interview process. 

Key Responsibilities:

You will take on a wide range of responsibilities, supporting the team and Pepal’s corporate and NGO partners to improve the lives of some of the poorest communities in the world. The role includes:

  • Creating / editing video content for Pepal programmes
  • Researching and creating engaging content for digital marketing channels, including the website, social media and e-newsletters
  • Tracking, analysing and reporting on the impact of all online activities, via Google Analytics and Social Media analytics
  • Supporting the production of PowerPoint presentations - Adding content and editing key websites maintained by Pepal
  • Assisting with the set-up of new website for Pepal programmes
  • Researching digital platforms and digital tools
  • Optimising key websites maintained by Pepal 

Experience needed:

  • A strong interest in international development and social impact projects
  • A good understanding of (or a willingness to learn): social media platforms for digital marketing, Squarespace, Google sites, Video / photo editing tools
  • A good understanding of search engine optimisation
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written English
