Kingdom Vision Community Development Organization is a community economic development non-profit organization dedicated to building economically sound families and communities through workforce development, business development and providing technical support and services to nonprofit organizations.
Our mission is to work in collaboration with communities, government, businesses, and educational institutions to empower individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency by strengthening access to jobs and income opportunities while building economically sound communities through small business development and other economic driven activities. KVCDO is approaching economic stability in our communities through our program CHARM CITY ACCESS2WORK. CCA2W focuses on implementing workforce development strategies that address barriers to employment for disadvantaged workers, long-term unemployed, ex-offenders and low-wage workers. Our comprehensive approach to workforce development that includes the key ingredients to obtaining and maintain employment opportunities. Our team provides solutions that include job matching, on-the-job training, as well as partnering with local workforce organizations, training centers, community colleges, and nonprofits.
In 2019 ACCESS2WORK to work will launch 2 new services for Baltimore City and Baltimore County residents looking for employment. Early 2019 we will launch ACCESS2WORK SHUTTLE which will transport residents to job sites where public transportation is limited or non-existent. In the Fall of 2019, we will welcome our Early Learning Center for our program participants
We currently are seeking three (3) Board Members who want to help fight poverty in Baltimore City and County. Being a member of the KVCDO Board of Directors provides you with a unique opportunity to:
Regular board meetings are held monthly. Each meeting is approximately one to two hours in duration. Board members are expected to participate in strategic planning, fundraising initiatives, and various committees. Board members are also encouraged to assist in recruiting donors, volunteers or advocacy. Board membership is a two-year position and requires a commitment to help.
