Spread your passion for sports to children who have had few opportunities to learn and develop their skills in a fun environment! Inspire children to set goals and stay active, both on and off the sports field.

About the Project

This project aims to encourage kids in the struggling neighborhoods of Cape Flats to stay off the streets and engage in fun, beneficial physical activity. Sports are a great way for kids to stay active and learn valuable life skills such as team work, active living, setting goals, and sharing. Volunteers become role models for the children and become active members of their live.

Volunteer Work and Contribution

Physical education was recently removed from the curriculum in South African day schools. Therefore, many children are not getting the proper amount of activity during the day. Volunteers can work with physical education teachers in helping kids stay active through various games, sports, and fitness tests. You can also help coach after school sports. You will become a mentor and friend to the children while helping them stay active and off the streets.
