TalkingDrugs is an online space covering the global challenge posed by illicit drugs. It provides an opportunity to share stories and insights that will help us find better ways to control illicit drugs and prevent them causing excessive harm. It is translated into eight languages and has a large global following.
We are looking for translation/communications volunteers to help primarily with translating English news articles (around 500 words in length) for the French, Italian, and Spanish versions of the website. The role will also offer the opportunity to research and write original material for TalkingDrugs, should the applicant be interested in doing so.
This role would suit those looking to gain experience and knowledge in translation, journalistic writing, communications, and/or drug policy and human rights issues.
We are very flexible as to how many articles a volunteer can translate; whether one per fortnight, one per week, or multiple per week.
