Description

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee is seeking adult volunteers who are interested in making positive change in their community through one-to-one, professionally supported mentoring relationships. In our Community-based Mentoring Program, volunteers mentor children in the community and spend time together around town.

Our volunteers (Bigs) meet with a child (Little) an average of 3-4 times a month. Activities vary and can include things like shooting hoops, helping with homework or visiting a local museum together. We also have at least 80 planned and staffed events for Bigs and Littles to participate in throughout the year.

Many matches are same-gendered, but we've also created additional options to allow us to serve more boys and reduce the number of children waiting to be matched. These opportunities include matching for boys under the age of 12 with an adult female volunteer, and couple's matches, where a couple may mentor a boy together.

College students, young professionals, retirees, couples and many other adults make great mentors!.
