Times of Day

Weekday Mornings

Time Commitment

A few hours per week

Duration

Long-Term (6 months-1 year)

Do you remember who inspired you to love reading? Spark a love of books by reading with a child as a literacy volunteer in San Francisco public schools.

We are the San Francisco Education Fund, the nonprofit in charge of training and placing volunteers in San Francisco public schools. Each year, we receive dozens of requests from teachers asking for help for their students. Volunteers like you make a difference for school children at the K-3 level who need one-on-one or small group assistance.

No matter who you are or where you come from, you have something to share with San Francisco students. All it takes is one hour a week.
