Want to be part of the coolest parade in Seattle? Fremont Arts Council is currently recruiting volunteers for the Fremont Solstice Parade on June 16th. Join us and create, share, and have fun with the most wild and creative people in Seattle.
Each year, the Parade is growing and growing, and as it grows the more volunteers we need. Volunteers are needed for before, day of and after the parade. We are in need of parade monitors, Powerhouse hosts, security, and Gas Works Park volunteers, just to name a few.
The Fremont Solstice Parade is an amazing and exciting yearly event, but it can only continue to be so with the help of people like you. If you have volunteered before, we need your experience. If you haven’t we need your brand new perspective. If you help out, not only will you be part of a great Seattle tradition, you will meet amazing and creative people.
We are currently looking for first aid workers.
We need a first aid leader to organize and staff a first-aid station for the staging area and gasworks. Manage the First Aid station with Basic care for general health needs. Ensure the First Aid kit is stocked and onsite by 10 am day of parade (at staging) and by 2pm at gasworks. Set up the designated 1st Aid spaces according to the Site Map. Must be currently certified in CPR. Attend the booth and manage it on the day of the event.
We also need first aid assistants. Volunteers respond to medical emergencies: mostly minor scrapes and dehydration, and will make any necessary calls for back-up. EMT certification and experience is highly valued. First Aid and CPR training would also be a big bonus!
