We are looking for a talented and driven team member to lead our marketing, content development, and online fundraising efforts. If you have a strong work ethic and a passion for promoting positive change in the world, we are interested in hearing from you!


We are an entirely volunteer-based organization and this will a remotely-based volunteer position with opportunities for personal project development and travel for qualified volunteers. You will have lots of opportunities to grow, experiment, and gain valuable skills while creating positive impact on the world.




  • Manage and optimize Google AdWords campaigns using keyword research and strategic content
  • Develop monthly financial targets and advance online fundraising efforts
  • Develop and maintain organizational profile and presence across social media and nonprofit listing channels
  • Occasionally develop and publicize thought leadership content on website and social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Provide basic analytics on metrics like content performance, traffic, and organic keyword growth
  • Communicate with the One Step Projects team and post general weekly updates on Slack




  • Gain firsthand experience growing the digital audience of an international nonprofit organization
  • Get an insider’s perspective on nonprofit organizations and projects
  • Network with business and nonprofit leaders, students, and organizations around the world
  • Learn and enhance valuable skills like SEO, content marketing, email marketing, etc. through real-world projects

  • Comfortable creating and uploading content on Wordpress
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Photoshop (or equivalent), and Google G Suite
  • Robust understanding of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Good understanding of SEO and thought leadership
  • Great eye for detail and a hunger to solve problems before they arise
  • Ability to work independently, make good decisions, and collaborate with team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills




  • Knowledge of internet marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Working knowledge of graphic/web design and layout
  • Experience working with a remote-based team and using tools like Slack, Trello, Hootsuite, and Bloomerang (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience or interest in online fundraising, including but not limited to developing fundraising campaigns, profiling grants, managing donors, and maximizing budget effectiveness
