Seattle Atheists Board of Directors - Secretary

Seattle Atheists is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2002 to foster and support atheists in the Puget Sound area.  The organization does this through educational events for and with atheists, agnostics, and members of the public; outreach to atheists in the community; and charitable work to support the community at large.

Seattle Atheists’ Board of Directors determines the business of the organization, including which activities the group will pursue.  Board members serve 1 year terms, September to September, and Officers serve 2 year terms.  Board members and Officers may be re-elected to subsequent terms.

The Board holds regular meetings once a month, at least half the time by video conference (online).  Directors are expected to attend and actively participate in all regular and special meetings of the Board, except for good cause; to discharge their duties in good faith and for the best interest of the organization; and to act in an ethical manner, including disclosing any conflicts of interest.
