The Youth development program intends to provide an opportunity for children and young people of the Chamazi community to gain various skills and to become aware of development issues affecting them. The project is expected to stimulate growth, understanding, knowledge and individual development and expose volunteers and the community members to the diversity of the world around them and the power of the individual. The aim is to help young Tanzanians acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes to become social change agents and global citizens.
The international volunteers will be involved in the following activities: - Organizing creative activities aiming to stimulate discussions and reflection on participation of Youth in local and international development. - Renovation of classrooms in the local community school.
The volunteers are expected to be creative, flexible, open minded and independent, interested in development issues and in working with local youth.
