Starting this fall, The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas will be a offering a unique holistic health and wellness program called "Healthy Lifestyles" Design for and by folks with disabilities, this program focuses on mind and body wellness and goal-setting to encourage young adults with disabilities to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives!

Our Healthy Lifestyles group meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening. Part class and part support group, we introduce whole body wellness concepts like nutrition, exercises, building positive social relationships, and discussing values and personal beliefs. It's a really cool program and an exciting volunteer opportunity!

An ideal volunteer for this program has a positive and supportive attitude. Previous experience working with folks who experience disabilities is not required - but the willingness to be a respected and engaged ally definitely is! Folks of all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply - your unique life experiences and skills enrich our community! This is an especially good volunteer opportunity for folks interested in social work, counseling, special education, or health and wellness - though again, a variety of backgrounds and interests are welcome.
