Description

International volunteers will help out in two fishing communities by the sea, about 30 km from Kampot town. The children here face difficulty attending language, computer or other classes in town. The volunteer group will focus on English teaching and providing some other education activities for the children in these communities. In addition, help is needed on the mangrove field. The fishing communities have a long-term plan for mangrove reforestation. Participants in this project will support the development of the local communities while working on environmental issues and exploring the local lifestyle. The project welcomes individuals who are passionate about the environment and hands-on conservation work. Volunteers will be working as active promoters of environmental and sea life preservation, and enjoying the natural environment at the same time.

Aims and activities of the project:

• Work and interaction with local children and teenagers using English language

• Assist the local community in developing their eco-tourism projects and protecting the mangrove forest and fishing area
