Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio, a nonprofit itself, provides business and transactional legal services to nonprofit social service organizations serving the disadvantaged or enhancing the quality of life in neighborhoods in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.

PBPO recruits and mobilizes attorneys from major corporations and law firms to donate their time and expertise on behalf of its nonprofit clients, enhancing their ability to improve conditions in their communities.

PBPO assists nonprofit organizations on a broad range of business legal matters, such as:

  • Compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Contracts
  • Corporate structure and governance
  • Employment law
  • Environmental law
  • Fundraising
  • Intellectual property
  • Lobbying
  • Merger, bankruptcy and dissolution
  • Real estate
  • Tax law and tax exempt status

Our volunteer opportunities are uniquely structured to suit the talents and needs of busy in-house counsel and law firm attorneys specializing in non-litigation practice areas. Our matters are discrete, manageable and generally not subject to time deadlines.

We can reassign your matter to another attorney if you become overburdened. No minimum hours are required. Where appropriate, we can pair counsel to work together.

We furnish liability insurance coverage for all volunteer attorneys. You may also qualify for CLE credit.

See our current list of Volunteer Opportunities.

If you are a new volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application, and email it to info@pbpohio.org.
