Description

Through LiveOn NY’s Rights and Information for Senior Empowerment (RISE) program, we work to ensure older New Yorkers are informed of policy changes and key resources so that they can live their best later years!

We want every older adult to feel empowered to access and utilize all the services that NYC has to offer. We offer workshops & provide vital resources to senior groups on a variety of topics including: elder abuse, housing, public benefits, and senior scams!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Volunteers give workshops to various audiences of caregivers and older adults on aging issues including elder abuse, housing, public benefits, and senior scams! Our workshops are hosted all over the five boroughs of New York City.

TIME COMMITMENT AND TRAINING!

You can create your own volunteer schedule! Volunteers select a minimum of 2-3 events per month. No prior knowledge on these aging issues? No problem! LiveOn NY will provide comprehensive training to all interested volunteers!
