This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. Medical Assistant Program hours of instruction are Monday through Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm from August 2018 – August 2019.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES: . • Assist with classroom and pre-class tutoring instruction • Assist instructors with students during lab skills • Assist in the development of SmartBoard presentations for the MA modules • Tutor students as needed in math • Assist with MA Program registration, including maintaining student waiting list and scheduling registration appointments • Assist in the collection and maintenance of student information required for the program, including residency information, volunteer forms, etc. • Track students’ academic progress and keep students’ grades and transcripts current. • Notify teachers and students of any missing assignments, and follow up with students in getting assignments turned in. • Compile teacher comments for student performance reports for conferences • Schedule student/teacher conferences • Schedule room reservations for MA Program needs • Assist in scheduling and monitoring the progress of MA student internship and externship hours • Maintain a current inventory of necessary medical supplies for the program • Be available for student needs during evening hours • Communicate with students as program needs dictate • Assist in the preparation of class materials– making copies, organizing class materials • Assist with MA Program ceremonies including induction and graduation • Take notes during MA team meetings • Assist Medical Assistant team as needed.
