Wild Camas Seed Collection
- Volunteer Opportunity posted by Center for Natural Lands Management, South Sound Prairies
Times of day
A few hours per month
Join us for a wild camas seed collection outing on Saturday, July 21st from 10:00-1:00! We'll be meeting at Glacial Heritage Preserve (15018 Mima Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98512). Camas is very distinct and rattles when the seeds are ripe, making it one of the easiest species to identify. We'll also be collecting from lupine, violet, and any other ripe species. This is a great way to learn about or brush up on native plant identification and explore some lands that usually aren't open to the public!
We'll have carpooling options available from our downtown office in Olympia - please contact us at least the day before if you plan on using this.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for directions, questions, or for more information. See you all there!
