Description

Dreamfar High School Marathon is a non-profit organization that challenges at-risk teens to reach their full potential--physically, socially, emotionally, and academically--through a mentor-supported marathon training program.

Volunteers are needed Saturday mornings starting November 10th to assist in the facilitation of the long runs.  Volunteers meet at the Brookline Teen Center (40 Aspinwall Ave.) at 7:45AM. The time commitment depends on the length of the training run (typically between 2-4 hours). Individuals can sign-up for as many Saturdays as desired. Various volunteer opportunities include: setting up water stops; standing at key points along the designated route and providing directions to runners; driving a sweep vehicle; and managing attendance. VOLUNTEERS PLAY A KEY ROLE IN SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS ON THEIR JOURNEY TO COMPLETING THE PROVIDENCE MARATHON!
