More Art, a NYC based public arts non-profit, is looking for volunteers to help us with an exciting, innovative public art installation opening of "NIGHT WATCH" at Wagner Park | Directions.

Learn more about the project here: http://moreart.org/projects/night-watch/

Volunteers should be interested in engaging with guests and be comfortable talking to the public about our opening event and our organization. Volunteers will be asked to help introduce our project “NIGHT WATCH,” as well as talk about our opening event which feature 7 recipes from the 7 countries on the 45th administration’s travel ban. We hope this opening event will give our guests and volunteers the flavorful opportunity to use each dish for a more direct connection to the people affected by this ban, and think about how food, the access to it, its history can be a bridge for understanding.

Those with a passion for visual art, social justice, film, and social media are highly encouraged to connect with us. Volunteering is an awesome way to get involved with More Art’s art projects that take place in public spaces across NYC. Bilingual volunteers welcome!

Night Watch Opening

More Art has commissioned 2018 EA fellow Manuel Molina Martagon to create a food-based experience with ingredients from the seven countries banned by the Trump administration. After a short orientation on the food and facts of each country, volunteers will be asked to help staff set up tables, serve food, engage in meaningful dialogue, and connect with various guests about More Art and our projects.
