Citizenship Class Instructors Needed - Training Provided

Catholic Charities' Immigration and Refugee Services Program is looking for Citizenship Volunteer Teachers. Volunteer teachers are needed as part of the 8-week citizenship course for those studying for the U.S. citizenship/naturalization test. We are seeking volunteers for the English-language classes and a fluent volunteer instructor for the Spanish-language class, which takes place one night a week.
Classes take place in Kenner Monday – Thursday from 6 – 8:30 PM and volunteers should be able to commit to one evening (three hours) per week for at least one 8-week course.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age with at least one year of teaching/coaching experience. A background in ESL, U.S. History, civics/government, or related fields preferred but not necessary. Materials, training, and weekly support provided.
